All of our Experienced Rider Courses are taught by the most skilled instructors in the state. They provide exceptional feedback in addition to the highest quality of instruction.

The Experienced Rider Course is about five hours long and consists of ten students or less. We can also reserve dates for groups to have their own Experienced course. This is a great idea before a group ride. Along with your riding your completion card could have additional benefits!

Many riders take this course every time they purchase a new motorcycle and every spring. The course is also very popular with students who have already graduated from the Basic Rider Course and want to take their riding to the next level.

Riders who regularly ride two-up can bring their co-rider to the class.(To bring a passenger costs an additional $10). We will coach the rider as well as the co-rider on how to work together as a team and how to handle special situations.

  • A helmet approved by the Department of Transportation (DOT).
  • Proof of insurance.
  • Valid drivers license with a motorcycle endorsement.
  • Full-fingered, full coverage gloves, preferably leather. No fingerless gloves, gloves that expose the knuckles, or gloves that expose the top of the hand.
  • Eye protection such as eyeglasses, sunglasses, safety glasses, goggles or a full-face helmet. We highly recommend sunglasses on sunny days.
  • A long sleeve shirt or jacket and long pants, preferably blue-jeans. Students arms must be covered while on the range.
  • Shoes or boots must cover the ankle. Large heels and platforms are not appropriate because they will prevent you from using the foot controls.
  • Prepare for hot or cold weather by dressing in layers and bringing an extra jacket if the weather looks cold or wet.

Student motorcycles will be required to pass a basic safety inspection, given the day of the riding class.

Class size is limited to 10 students for riding sessions, which allows us to give provide additional personal attention and coaching. Fees, schedules, locations, and courses are subject to change without notice. Classes with an insufficient number of students may be canceled.
